Wild otter is interesting photography subject. They are agile, their skin tone blends closely to surrounding colors and they are sensitive to noise (shutter sound), all which make them an extremely hard subject to capture.
Adding to the challenge, otters are small animals and rather short fellows, I have to shoot them handholding my camera at squatting position most of the time, in order to get their eye-leveling right.
After many missed and mistakes, I started learning how to photograph them better. Also through observations, I am better in anticipating their movements, where they are going next or what they are up to - so that I can be more prepared for next best shots.
